Isaac Oluwole (1852–1932) was a Nigerian bishop of Sierra Leonean and Egba heritage. He was one of the most prominent emigrants from Sierra Leone resident in Lagos during the second half of the nineteenth century. From 1879-1893, he was the principal of the CMS Grammar School, Lagos and was later ordained a priest. Isaac Oluwole went to the premier West African College, Fourah Bay, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He was first among three students to obtain a bachelor's degree from the school, which had become affiliated with the University of Durham. He later became the principal of the Church Missionary Society, Grammar school, Lagos, in 1879, taking over from Rev T. B. Macaulay, a son-in-law of Bishop Ajayi Crowther. He was ordained a deacon in 1881 and later became the assistant bishop of Western Equatorial Africa in 1893.〔(National Photo Gallery. )〕 He was ordained at St Paul's Cathedral, London on June 29 and was subsequently awarded a doctor of divinity degree from the University of Durham.〔Eugene Stock.
